It all started with Lottie, our spirited Airedale Terrier. No matter how nutritious her kibble was, she just wouldn’t touch it. Meanwhile, our son Henry was going through his own picky-eating phase—until a dash of ketchup or BBQ sauce turned vegetables into victories.

That’s when it hit us: what if dogs had their own version of a mealtime motivator?

We searched the pantry and came up empty. There were no dog-safe sauces designed to make kibble more exciting—nothing that added flavor, moisture, or fun to the bowl. So, we rolled up our sleeves, tested wholesome, dog-friendly recipes, and crafted something entirely new: a delicious, healthy sauce made just for dogs.

Hound’s Sauce was born out of a simple idea: make every bowl of kibble as crave-worthy as a bowl of wet food—without the mess or fuss. Now, Lottie licks her bowl clean, and we’ve made it easy for fellow dog parents to turn picky eaters into happy hounds.
